Former President Barack Obama recently officiated the wedding of two of his staffers, past and present, reports Washingtonian magazine. Dana Remus, a former senior White House counsel who now works for Obama's presidential foundation, and Brett Holmgren, who worked as a senior director of intelligence at the National Security Council, were married in Washington, D.C. on Sunday, according to the Washington Examiner. Obama's involvement in the wedding was largely kept under wraps until the ceremony began.  The former president reportedly left shortly after the couple was officially married and some pictures were taken, as he didn't want to take attention away from the newlyweds.
CNN notes that "although he's no longer in the White House, Obama's office still replies to invitations from strangers to attend their weddings." "The former President also served as a groomsman for Marvin Nicholson, a longtime aide, in January 2017," the media outlet further said.
