California resident Wayne Craig captured video of a sailboat that was swept by heavy winds and waves into the rocks on King Harbor Pier in Redondo Beach on January 20.
Craig, a Redondo Beach local, witnessed the incident as he was walking along the pier on Saturday afternoon and called emergency services. Grant Currie and Matt Bandy with Redondo Beach Harbor Patrol showed up to assist in the rescue, according to reports. Currie jumped into the water to aid the passengers as Bandy steered the patrol boat.
The two men and the dog suffered minor injuries; their names have not been released. Credit: Wayne Craig via Storyful
