Democratic Senate leader Chuck Schumer and President Donald Trump at the White House ahead of a vote to pass a stopgap spending measure.
The two discussed what could be done to pass the continuing resolution, in order to avoid a government shutdown.
The meeting also comes on the day of the deadline to pass the temporary funding measure.
