While horror legend John Carpenter celebrates his 70th birthday on January 16th, popular movie review website Rotten Tomatoes accidentally suggested the filmmaker was dead on their Twitter feed. The now-deleted tweet said: "John Carpenter would have been 70 years old today!" Carpenter has been semi-retired from filmmaking, with his last theatrical release being "The Ward" in 2011, but he will return to the Halloween franchise as executive producer and composer on the new sequel.
