Iron Galaxy first hit our radar in the autumn of 2012 when his debut single, 'Attention Seeker', was released via quality Amsterdam label Audio Culture. "Bumping at around 120bpm," we wrote at the time, "It turns from a satisfyingly rotund roller into a dizzy cosmic excursion that's finished with a cheeky touch of acid." What more could you want from a 12"? It went on to become one of the underground tunes of the year.

Following on from that "eight-minute pleasure zone", the Montreal artist racked up tracks on James Zabiela's Born Electric imprint and Room With A View, a niche label based out of Hamburg, in 2013. With a production aesthetic that is deep, trippy and driving, he's a producer to watch for fans of cosmic dance music that, and please excuse the cliche, will take your head on a journey.

As 2014 comes into focus, it'll be interesting to see what Iron Galaxy serves up next. He'll no doubt be working on a clutch of new tracks and what is for certain is that he's coming to Europe this spring, making his debut UK show at Church, the on-point house, techno and bass night that takes place at Corsica Studios in South London.

Since we've had a run of big hitters recently (hello Paul Woolford and Terrence Parker), we thought we'd get an exclusive In Session from Iron Galaxy, celebrating his sterling run of releases so far and the fact that he's making it to Britain for the very first time. And he hasn't disappointed; download his expertly crafted mix below, which features a fine stash of acid-lined house, percussive techno and just the right pinch of strobe-lit disco. Yes!
