The point is... There IS no 'versus'... Why can't they BOTH be great? They both have weak and strong points, just like any of us. They also knew and respected each other's artistry, though there was competition (as they were both perfectionists). i don't think the competition would be 'fair' or 'even' though, since they both did not cover the same musical territory. MJ (though he dabbled in playing instruments) was not proficient in doing so, and Prince was not reaching for 'King Of Pop' status like MJ was. Given that, Prince's output was much more prolific. In the end, i think both wanted to make great art that reached many, and they both did well in that.
