More than 20 hectares burned near Tomago, New South Wales, on Saturday, January 13. According to local reports, the NSW Rural Fire Service issued emergency warnings and residents in Tomago and Williamtown were told to shelter in place.
At just after 3 pm, the fire had moved near Newcastle Airport. An air tanker was being used to combat the blaze.
