A lesbian couple tied the knot at a ceremony in Perth, Western Australia, at the stroke of midnight on Tuesday, January 9, the first day same-sex couple could legally marry without a waiver.

Gay couples were officiated in late-night ceremonies across the country, with many making their union official minutes into Tuesday.
