Firefighters and volunteers on Thursday rescued a dog which had become trapped inside a drainage pipe in Dej, Romania.
The dog had earlier gone for walk on a frozen lake but leaped into the pipe when the ice gave way beneath its feet.
Rescuers placed a rope around the stricken creature's neck and then hauled it out of the pipe to safety.
