Police, Paramedics Respond After Vehicle Hits Pedestrians at Flinders Street Station

A driver was arrested after their vehicle reportedly hit multiple people outside Flinders Street Station in Melbourne, Victoria, on Thursday, December 21.

“Police are currently attending an incident on Flinders Street between Elizabeth and Swanston streets where a vehicle has collided with a number of pedestrians,” Victoria Police said. “Police have arrested the driver of the car. Extent of injuries are not known at this stage.”

They later confirmed a number of people were being treated at the scene for “a range of injuries” and appealed for witnesses. Ambulance Victoria said they were treating and transporting as many as 13 people, some with serious injuries.
