Multiple missile strikes hit the small town of Novoluhanske in eastern Ukraine, damaging homes, a school, and a clinic.

In this footage, a woman cries out a first story window of a residential building that has sustained significant damage. Burning rubble is visible in front of the building.

Eight people were wounded in the attack, which the Ukrainian news agency blamed on anti-government militias.

The Ukrainian Ministry of Interior released footage it said showed damage to a school caused in the same attack on Novoluhanske.

An international observer mission reported a 35 percent increase in ceasefire infractions between December 11 and 17.

“We note with concern a sharp deterioration in the security situation with ceasefire violations reaching levels not recorded since February this year,” said Ertugrul Apakan, Chief Monitor of the OSCE Special Monitoring Mission to Ukraine on December 19.
