So the saying goes, misery loves company. The same applies to Lucas Nord’s latest album, fittingly titled, Company - which, despite its dizzying synths and infectious bass, is at it’s core a break-up album. Written after the sparks had gone out, the Swedish artist cunningly disguises melancholy melodies with dance ready hooks, creating anthems that can only be described as a tears-on-the-dancefloor collection of pop songs. It’s the perfect fix for a broken heart.

After his collaborations with Tove Lo and Urban Cone back in 2012, Lucas Nord has continued to seek new directions for his music. What started with a heavy house and strong electronic leaning has become lighter, more airey and with a sound mixing pop and RnB.
