Grand Rapids police chief David Rahinsky said he was “physically nauseated” by the conduct of officers during a December 6 incident in which they handcuffed an 11-year-old girl.

The video was shown to media during a December 12 press conference. “The screams of the 11-year-old, they go to your heart,” Rahinsky said. The incident occurred as police were searching the home of the girl’s aunt.
