People protesting the US decision to recognize Jerusalem as the capital of Israel evaded tear gas in southeast Gaza near the border wall with Israel on December 11. The photographer stated that the confrontation took place in Abasan al-Jedida.

In this footage, young men carry the bodies of other young men away from clouds of tear gas, at one point dropping one of them. At least one young man uses a sling shot.

In the background of the video, the person filming says, “This is Abasan al-Jedida, east of Khan Younis.” At the opening, the uploader speaks about the failure of politics and Arab governments and says the people of Gaza are on the forefront of the war.
