You tell me which verse of the Qur'an contradicts. The burden of proof does not rest with me. If you can provide me with a verse of the Qur'an that contradicts my statements, the issue will be over. But if a deed is not forbidden in the Qur'an, then it is lawful. They claim, "This deed is unlawful." When they are asked "Which verse renders it unlawful?" they reply, "There is no such verse." "So what do you base your claim on?" "It is just unlawful, according to me," they reply. "This was a common conception among my forefathers," they say. But God says, "What, even though their fathers did not understand a thing and were not guided!" Your forefathers clearly made it up, so why are you following in their footsteps?
