President Trump on Friday posted another tweet in support of Republican Senate candidate Roy Moore.
President Trump on Friday urged voters in Alabama to vote for Republican Senate candidate Roy Moore.
"LAST thing the Make America Great Again Agenda needs is a Liberal Democrat in Senate where we have so little margin for victory already," Trump wrote in his tweet. "The Pelosi/Schumer Puppet Jones would vote against us 100% of the time. He's bad on Crime, Life, Border, Vets, Guns & Military. VOTE ROY MOORE!"
Days prior, Kayla Moore, Roy Moore's wife, rejoiced over news that Trump has decided to publicly back her husband.
She wrote in a Monday morning Facebook post, "Judge Moore just got off the phone with President Trump-we have his full support! Thank you Mr. President! Let's MAGA!."
Trump also took to Twitter on Monday to announce his decision to stand with Moore.
"Democrats refusal to give even one vote for massive Tax Cuts is why we need Republican Roy Moore to win in Alabama," Trump wrote. "We need his vote on stopping crime, illegal immigration, Border Wall, Military, Pro Life, V.A., Judges 2nd Amendment and more. No to Jones, a Pelosi/Schumer Puppet!"
Moore has been accused of multiple instances of sexual misconduct. He has denied those allegations.
White House press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders echoed Trump's remarks during a briefing on Tuesday.
"The President's position hasn't changed; still finds those [allegations] concerning," Sanders said. "But as we've also said, the President feels that he would rather have a person that supports his agenda versus somebody who opposes his agenda every step of the way."
