Bono and The Edge surprised Berlin U-Bahn commuters on December 6 as the U2 duo played a 15-minute set on a subway platform to promote the band’s newly-released album, Songs of Experience.
The apt marketing move saw the pair riding the city’s U2 line “looking for Zoo Station”. The group’s relationship with the city goes back to the recording of classic ’90s album Achtung Baby there, and locals swarmed to record footage of the surprise performance.
