This is the moment a go-kart racer spins out of control, flying into spectators at high speed.
In the video, filmed on December 2 at the Great New York State Fair in Syracuse, a racer is coming around the corner on the oval track before suddenly losing control, overturning and slamming into spectators.
According to the filmer, a seven-year-old boy was "thrown out of the door" in the collision and the driver suffered a broken pelvis and tailbone. There were no fatalities, according to the filmer.
"Oh my god, oh my god!" one onlooker can be heard saying in the aftermath.
People rush over to the driver to check on his condition.
A man can be heard saying: "I think somebody's out in the hallway."
"There were a couple of people that got hit," a woman says.
Organisers dub the event as the US northeast's "premier indoor kart race known" and as "the most intense oval racing imaginable".
