Upstream oil and gas player Sapura Kencana Petroleum 's net profit increased by 8.6 per cent to RM445.8 million for the second quarter ended July 31st, 2014 from RM410.46 million a year ago. The higher profits were driven by new contracts obtained by its subsidiaries.
