Supporters of opposition leader Salvador Nasralla marched in protest against alleged fraud and President Juan Orlando Hernandez in Tegucigalpa on December 3, waving flags, setting off firecrackers and chanting “fuera JOH,” or “out with JOH.”

Nasralla campaigned against President Hernandez on an anti-corruption platform represented by the Opposition Alliance, which consists of the Liberal Party and the opposition leader’s own PAC (Partido Anticorrupcion). Nasralla has “alleged fraud and said he won’t respect the official results” after a computer glitch that shut down vote counting for several hours, according to reports.

The government has “called for a curfew” and “suspended constitutional rights” in response to protests against President Hernandez, according to a report from NPR. Credit: Kimberly O’Connor Diputada via Storyful
