At least nine people were killed and 32 others wounded when Taliban gunmen disguised in burqas attacked an agriculture college in northern Pakistan on December 1, Samaa TV reported

The attack on the Directorate of Agriculture Institute in Peshawar was carried out by four gunmen, who were subsequently killed by police, according to local reports.

The Pakistani Taliban claimed responsibility for the attack, with spokesman Mohammad Khorasani saying that they had targeted a safe house of the military’s Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI) agency, RFE reported.

Security officials denied the claim that the university campus housed a secret intelligence facility, the New York Times reported. Credit: Radio Free Europe/Radio Liberty via Storyful
