A portion of a bridge in Dandridge, Tennessee, was imploded on Thursday, November 30, as part of a project to replace the span. A new $29.1 million bridge is expected to be completed in 2019, a news report said.

Workers were expected to use cranes to remove the span that fell into Douglas Lake. The bridge was originally constructed between 1942 and 1944 by the Nashville Bridge Company. Credit: Town of Dandridge via Storyful
