Artists Protest Trump's Anti-Immigration Agenda With Border Wall Projections

Artists projected images onto border wall prototypes on November 18 in protest of the Trump administration’s anti-immigration stance.

Headed by Tijuana-based photographer and writer Jill Holslin, the 25-minute long installation consisted of light projections of a ladder, the head of the Statue of Liberty and other images onto border wall prototypes in Tijuana, between the US and Mexico.

About a dozen people to drove up to the border fence to view the installation, and images and footage by a freelance journalist were shared on social media, the Voice of San Diego reported. In Holslin’s words, the “light graffitti” aimed to use humor to deflate the bombastic government rhetoric about the dangers of the border, and to point out the absurdity of the border wall prototypes.
