Russian aircraft flew over Deir Ezzor province in Syria, dropping munitions the Russian Ministry of Defense said targeted Islamic State fighters on November 24.
In this footage, a Tupolev Tu-22 Backfire drops munitions, and can be seen with another aircraft, a Sukhoi Su-30 Flanker-C, flying east over the Euphrates River south of Deir Ezzor.
Russian aircraft have bombed locations in Deir Ezzor province since the Syrian government began an offensive at the beginning of September to take the oil-rich territory from Islamic State control.
Many civilians have been killed in the airstrikes, according to local media, and close to 400,000 people have fled the area to escape the bombing. Credit: YouTube/Russian Ministry of Defense via Storyful
