The smell of waffles filled the air in Brussels, Belgium, on November 23, after a waffle factory fire in the Vorst district of the city sent a large cloud of black smoke wafting through the air.
Local media reported that the building’s 50 employees were safely evacuated, but that the factory was destroyed. They added that, at first, the smoke was feared to be toxic, but this was later downgraded by authorities, according to local media.
A number of train services were delayed departing from the city due to the smoke including a Eurostar. Credit: Twitter/François Tondeur via Storyful
