Cars and buildings were damaged by severe flooding in the Jamaican resort city of Montego Bay on November 22.
Montego Bay’s Rubis gas station and nearby homes were damaged by the floodwaters, while cars in basement parking lots were submerged, the Jamaica Observer reported.
Prime Minister of Jamaica Andrew Holness announced that on Thursday he would visit the areas of Montego Bay ravaged by flooding. He said: “The country has been experiencing unprecedented levels of rainfall since March this year. The extraordinary weather event has overwhelmed the drainage systems resulting in flooding.” Credit: Instagram/the_sun_i_am via Storyful
