On Friday, July 21, Shakiru Alabi Balogun, a chairmanship aspirant in Igando area of Lagos state, was reportedly crushed to death by one of the trucks parked along the road in the area.
One week later, the residents of the area took to the streets to protest the death of the the man they regarded as their saviour.
