F1 drivers are super fit actually and the likes of Lewis Hamilton and Sebastian Vettel do some intense training plans and workouts to get in shape.
F1 drivers are some of the most highly conditioned, honed and dedicated athletes on the planet... and in 2017 they need to take it to another level of peak fitness to ensure they can cope with the latest challenges.
Did you know drivers can sweat off up to 3kg PER RACE... this is all whilst having to contend with 3.5 g of cornering force lap after lap, a figure which has risen for 2017 with the introduction of the bigger and more physical cars.
We visit McLaren Technology Centre to find out why F1 has never been tougher on the human body and why McLaren Applied Technologies is applying science to get the best from drivers Fernando Alonso and Stoffel Vandoorne.
