Ratko Mladic receives life sentence over Bosnia war genocide

Bosnian Serb army leader Ratko Mladic received a life sentence after he was found guilty of genocide during the Bosnian war. Mladic was charged with two counts of genocide and nine crimes against humanity and war crimes for his role in the conflict in the former Yugoslavia from 1992 to 1995. He was the chief organizer behind the ethnic cleansing in the former Yugoslavia in which 100,000 people were killed and another 2.2 million displaced.
