After you’ve gone – Bent Persson 1985
In a concert in 1985 in Poland, trumpetplayer Bent Persson is sitting in with the members of Hans Carling’s Coolin’ Jazzmen. On clarinet Anders Holmberg, Dymtr Markiewicz trombone, Gerd Carling piano, Dick Heikenshjoeld bass, Bobby Sakowicz drums and Rolf Karvfe banjo. I received this video from Dymtr and I am incredibly pleased to see the The excellent Carling Jazzmen and Bent had such a wonderful musical relationship. It is particularily rewarding that young Gerd at the age of 14 was given the chance to play in a combination with the fantastic Bent. Bent’s phrasing is so Louis like, nobody else has been able to do it that way
