A plane approaching Miami International Airport collided with a bird mid-air on Tuesday, November 14, fracturing the plane’s nose and causing the bird to become trapped.
Despite the collision, the American Airlines Airbus A319 flying in from Mexico City was able to land safely, according to local reports.
While birdstrikes are not uncommon, a bird’s body becoming entangled into the plane is, according to one airport worker. “Normally you might see some feathers and blood but not the entire bird,” the employee told Storyful. Credit: Anonymous via Storyful
