Joe Biden didn't mince words when talking about the current political environment on Saturday.

Joe Biden made an appearance at the Miami Book Fair on Saturday and discussed his new book, "Promise Me, Dad: A Year of Hope, Hardship, and Purpose."
While there, he also touched on the current political climate and Trump administration, reports The Hill.
"I think it's one of the most dangerous times in modern history," Biden stated.
According to the Miami Herald, "[Biden] mentioned former White House strategist Steve Bannon and others who have proposed ideas of white nationalism as promoting 'half-baked nationalism' and 'phony populism.'"
The former vice president also said that there have always been people in our country and elsewhere who have "tried to take advantage of pain and change."
This is not the first time Biden has criticized Trump.
During a Monday appearance on 'The Late Show with Stephen Colbert,' Biden said of the sitting president's term, "I think it will, God willing, go down as the single exception in American history."
Earlier in the month, the former vice president, at a Philadelphia event hosted by Axios, specifically touched upon the effect the president's reactions to events like Charlottesville is having on the nation.
He said Trump's divisive rhetoric is, "eating at the fabric at this country," and has eroded the nation's sense of civility. "You can disagree on issues but this has gotten so, sort of, coarse, so vile, so demeaning. And our children our listening," Biden added.
