June new: Childrens Skating Exhibition WITH DISNEY ON ICE

2017-11-19 1

8 y/o Starly was happy as a pig in mud during her 3rd-year Disney on Ice skating experience at the Entertainment Centre. Shes the tiny Mouseketeer with the long blonde ponytails. The 20 lucky figure skaters (aged 8 to 21) all performed gorgeously on the day of their exhibition skate - just like we all knew they would. One of my favorite bits of this video montage is around 11:08 where I pan around the stadium so you get an idea of what it looks like from the performers perspective. If you want to skip over the dress rehearsal and other lead-up scenes straight to the ual performance (heaven forbid), then you might want to start at 12:41. \r

Sincere thanks to the very beautiful Worlds Skater for her inspired choreography for the 3rd year in a row. Huge thanks to Astronomic (Mickey Mouse) for all his wonderful, nurturing support of the little Mouseketeer skaters. Thanks to the boys who were coaxed into participating so that their figure skating partners could be properly featured in their female counterpart roles. Thanks as always to the dedicated group of parent volunteers who do the huge amount of work which makes the show possible (choosing which skaters may participate and which roles they will be assigned is doubtless a tough and under-appreciated role). Thanks to the older skaters for including the younger and newer skaters in the off ice fun.\r

Congratulations to all the skaters especially my own Starly, with special mentions also for the Cherubs favorite skaters: Astronomic (Mickey Mouse) and the Blue Girl (Daisy Duck) as well as mine: the Mouseketeer with the gob-smackingly spectacular spins, plus another incredibly talented Mouseketeer who flew through the entire Aussie Skate levels in a single year, and of course Astronomic. The skaters that Starly most aspires to be like are far too numerous to list!!\r

PS: No I wasnt taping with a zucchini. My new camera with quality zoom hasnt arrived yet, so I was still taping with my poor little phone (which does HD but the zoom quality is not great).\r

NB: Obviously Disney own the music and set. This video is shared in the Disney spirit of providing G-rated entertainment (not for commercial gain).\r
