The Associated Press reports U.S. Senate Republican leader Mitch McConnell on Monday called on Alabama Republican Senate nominee Roy Moore to “step aside,” saying he believed the woman who accused Moore of inappropriate sexual contact.
It's a stronger tack than the Majority Leader took when news first broke of the accusation.
On Thursday, The Washington Post reported on allegations that Moore initiated sexual contact with a 14-year-old girl when he was in his 30s.
