The USDA Scraps Proposed GMO Regulations

In January, near the end of the Obama era, both the Food and Drug Administration and the Department of Agriculture quietly snuck through proposed regulations that would substantially overhaul the regulation of genetically engineered organisms, creating roadblocks to the development and commercialization of GMO foods. After proposing the rules, the agency claims it received 203 comments from growers, scientists, consumer safety groups, and even other federal agencies.
