Queensland Police are looking for a man they say was involved in the violent assault of a cab driver at Regents Park, south of Brisbane, on October 28.

They stated the man was also involved in a petrol drive-off on the same day.

The red car seen in the footage was allegedly stolen from Nerang on the evening of October 27, before it was driven to the Juers Rd station at about 4.30 am on October 28 where the man seen on CCTV stole petrol.

He was then involved in the violent robbery of a cab driver later that day.

“Initial investigations indicate about 4.30pm, four men have approached a taxi which was parked on Waller Road, pulled the male driver out of the vehicle and assaulted him whilst demanding money,” police said.

“The men removed a quantity of cash from the taxi and fled the scene in a red Ford Focus towards Green Road.”
