Hey Nerdgasm fans today I was bored and decided to print some LEGO Compatible building blocks on my Ultimaker 3D printer since I couldnt find any of mine in the attic. I picked up the model from Wizard23 on Thingiverse and it works perfectly and is compatible with real LEGO blocks (but these are a different material and not as durable or fit together as well). In this video I print 2x2 and 4x4 blocks which are the most common blocks but the sky is the limit and you can print anything your imagination can come up with. The tolerance on the print is amazing and you dont have to use any support structure. The Ultimaker is able to span the gaps easily and accurately so you dont have to waste any plastic and you dont have to do any cleanup on the blocks once you are done printing them.\r
\r
All the blocks were printed at 0.1mm layer height in silver PLA material and they work amazingly well. The tolerances this printer can produce are amazing. Every day Im happy that I decided to go with the Ultimaker as my 3D printer of choice and when I have time I plan to build a heated bed for it so I can print in ABS and some other materials.\r
