How-to and Download: \r
PC gaming has made considerable strides in replicating the simplicity of a console experience. The library available on the platform is unparalleled, however there are a significant number of titles that have never had PC ports. Fortunately many of these titles can be enjoyed with the use of emulators but unfortunately emulators are generally not conducive to a living room console experience. An emulator front-end addresses this. \r
\r
I have selected the emulator front-end mala and I have added it to steam, together I can enjoy many releases of current 8th generation systems all the way back to video gaming inception. I have uploaded my Mala configuration with the emulators to aid anyone who may have interest in a similar set up. It is configured for a 360 controller or any controller that windows will recognize as a 360 controller. \r
\r
I have created a video how to in addition to this text guide\r
\r
\r
Download Mala emulator front-end with included emulators from one of the hosting services\r
\r
Mediafire 141 MB (Updated and simplified 11/24/2016)\r
\r
\r
or\r
\r
Mega 147 MB (older version)\r
\r
\r
\r
Now extr the file emulation.zip to the root directory of your C: drive. It should extr as C:/emulation/ then the various system files. If you extr it elsewhere you will break my configuration. There is a 1ststarthere file under C:/emulation/, and in it there is a configuration readme file. Open the file and follow the instructions.\r
\r
One you have finished the instructions, you can add mala to steam. If you do not already have steam, it is free software you can download here\r
\r
\r
\r
Once steam is installed and open, note the menu bar on the top left, select Games then Add a non-steam game to my library. In the window that opens click the browse button and navigate to the the following directory\r
\r
C:/emulation/MaLa/MaLa174/ \r
\r
Once there select Mala.exe then press open, followed by add selected programs. Now if you would like to complete the console experience, in the menu bar select steam then settings. In the window that opens select interface and check run steam when my computer starts and start steam in big picture mode. Congratulations you should be ready, restart your PC, sync your game pad and enjoy.\r

If you would like to use a a site different then C: then use the included symlink creator. Create a symlink between c:emulation and d:emulation (replacing d with whichever drive you store it on). Make sure you choose the Directory/Folder symbolic link option from the dropdown at the top.\r
