Kitchen Remodeling - Day 12 of 17 - Counter Top Tile Prep, Mortaring, Drywall and Texture

2017-10-31 1

Day twelve starts out with some more drywall work on the expanded passage between the dining room and kitchen, and soffit box, followed by repainting the soffit box. Next, Neil gets started on cutting metal rails that willas a boundary for pouring mortar for the granite counter-top tile underlayment. I prepare for and texture the walls with a wall texturing gun. Once all of the preparation work for the counter mortar is done, we move on to the process of setting mortar for the granite counter top. Finally, we set the sink into the mortar and make sure it is flush.\r
