Greek counter terrorism officers have arrested a man in connection with a number of parcel bombs sent to EU officials in March 2017.
Police intercepted eight suspicious packages at an Athens postal sorting centre, and a letter bomb sent to the IMF’s office in Paris exploded as it was opened by a secretary, injuring her in the face and hands.
The discovery came after militant Greek anarchist group Conspiracy of Fire Cells claimed responsibility for a parcel bomb sent to then German Finance Minister Wolfgang Schaeuble.
The arrested suspect denies being involved in the attacks.
