This is a cheap homemade soldering station project. Using a $13 30 Watts soldering iron, a $3 LCD, 1 $2.5 PIC, a $7 thermocouple interface chip and some other inexpensive (or hacked) materials, i made a soldering station with temperature feedback! It keeps the soldering tip into a standard temperature, rather than only setting the power delivered to the soldering iron.
