In this episode, I'm doing simple modifications of models (.nif) before adding them to the CS.
The aim is to create candles that produce no light but also have no flame.
The tools I'm using are:
The Construction set
Nifskope
Admittedly, Blender and 3DS Max are much better tools when it comes to creating models but Nifskope is simple to use and good enough to tinker with models :)
Detailed content:
- Creating a test cell
- Finding the model in your Data Files folder
- Removing pieces of a model
- Adding a new object to the construction set
- Changing the properties of a light
Next week we'll be adding to script to our new candle to make the flame appear and disappear.
We'll clean our little mod and pack it up.
