Investing.com - Netflix (NASDAQ:NFLX) is raising its subscription fees from $9.99 to $10.99 to help fund original projects.Netflix admits its future lies largely in exclusive original content, and they’ll spend $8 billion on content in 2018. Over the past few years, Netflix’s library of movies has been shrinking. Netflix's library shrunk from over 11,000 titles in 2012 to only 5,750 titles now, as per Finder.com.Other major Hollywood content owners, such as Disney, are pulling the plug on Netflix’s distribution rights. Netflix already has several successful TV shows, including Stranger Things, Orange is the New Black, and Narcos. They are also working on full-length movies, with 130 movies planned for 2017-2018,Including Bright starring Will Smith and The Irishman with Robert De Niro.Will their content be good enough to grow membership despite higher prices?
