ABC is on a real mission to get fans on board the Arie Luyendyk Jr. Bachelor train!
In an effort to reintroduce the former Bachelorette star – who appeared on the show’s eighth season – to Bachelor fans who may not remember him, the network made their ENTIRE promo about binge-watching his 2012 season of The Bachelorette.
“It feels like it’s been forever,” Arie says in a clip from Emily Maynard‘s season in the video, with a voice-over responding, “It kind of has!”
To get fans familiar with the new Bachelor, ABC is making Arie’s season of The Bachelorette available to stream on ABC.com ahead of his season premiere this January. “We’re remembering why we fell in love with him, from the first one-on-one to the blindsiding break-up,” the promo explains.
As OK! readers know, Bachelor Nation was not too happy with the network’s decision to cast Arie (fans slammed ABC on Twitter for their “out of left field” decision) over Peter Kraus, who was the runner-up on the most recent Bachelorette season starring Rachel Lindsay.
However, with the network standing firm in their decision to cast him as their lead, it looks like this Arie train is moving full steam ahead.
So as the voiceover says in the promo, “Now get revved up for his new start at love!”
Arie’s season of The Bachelor will premiere January 2018 on ABC. And you can watch his season of The Bachelorette on ABC.com and the ABC app.
