Its origins are from a Vineyard in Surrey form there it ended up with a local nursery. I acquired it about four years ago. The Grape Vine was cut with a few roots and planted in the large black plastic bucket. I had recently repotted a Wisteria in its new pot and its old green pot became available. It was recycled and used for this Grape Vine Tree. The Black bucket was too big for this tree and a the smaller green pot was chosen for now. On bare rooting, noted that the large roots were dead and these were removed. Also found that the tree had been buried very deep into the bucket for it to support its self. The tree was repotted with about four inches (ten Centimeters) having been pulled out of the soil and roots above the new surface were removed. There were old dead branches, these were removed and the branches pruned. It was kept in shade for three weeks before returning it to is place on the benches.\r
