Disney Princess Charer Dining Review\r
\r
Our 4 year old daughter is downright Princess obsessed so we decided to use a good chunk of the Disney Dollars I earned as a Team Beachbody Coach to enjoy all three princess charer dining options at Walt Disney World. We enjoyed the Princess Storybook lunch at Akershus Banquet Hall in Epcot on one day, dinner at 1900 Park Fare at the Grand Floridian the next and capped off our last day at WDW by having breakfast at Cinderellas Royal Table in Cinderellas Castle at Magic Kingdom. This is a video review of each of our experiences and some tips to help you choose and better enjoy these magical dining experiences. Charer dining is a a great chance for your child to get photo & autograph opportunities and some really cute interions without having to stand in long lines. Some of the charer lines in various parks stretch as long as those of the most popular rides- and take a lot longer to get through given the interions between charers & children. These meals can be quite pricey so its good to do your research beforehand and know which ones are most worth it for your family. \r

Our first meal was the Princess Storybook Lunch at Akershus Banquet Hall in the Norway section of Epcots World Showcase. Your family gets the royal treatment from the time youre called to sit. We were called to enter as The Royal Hamm Family. As soon as you enter, youre given a photo opportunity with one of the princesses. On our day, it was Princess Belle from Beauty & The Beast. Youre then escorted to the dining area where youll place your entree order and then be allowed to choose from various meats, cheeses and fruits as appetizers to enjoy before your entree is served. Once you finish your entree, youre given a platter of desserts (tapas style) to choose from and share amongst yourselves. On our day, desserts were cheesecake, chocolate mousse, a cinnamon cake and rice pudding. Since I was striving to avoid dairy, the Chef graciously provided a raspberry sorbet (which was quite tasty!). \r

Akershus also features a Princess procession in which all willing children can follow along with various princesses as a song plays. Stella was happy to join in and it was cute to see all the children passing by doing their princess-style waves. The princesses who made the rounds while we were there: Ariel in her green ball gown, Snow White, Cinderella and Aurora. Total cost for this lunch for 4 adults and 1 child: $225\r

The next day, we enjoyed Cinderellas Happily Ever After Dinner at 1900 Park Fare located in the Grand Floridian Resort. A note about Disney transportation for those staying at Disney Resort property: to get from one Disney Resort to another, you will need to take a bus to Downtown Disney and then take another bus to the Disney Resort. This can take A LOT of time- it took us over an hour to get Chef Mickeys at the Contemporary Resort from the Yacht Club so plan accordingly when youre dining at another Resort! \r

At this meal, youll get a family photo taken in front of a pretty mural depicting Cinderellas Castle before youre seated for your meal. Dinner is a very well-stocked buffet with a wide variety of options and desserts. My personal favorite at dinner: Guinness Beef Stew- it was delicious! This meal features the presence of Cinderella, Prince Charming, Lady Tremaine, Anastasia & Drizella. All play their roles incredibly well and put on quite an entertaining show. Another note: ask to be seated in the center room where the buffet is located. We were seated in an adjoining room and didnt get a good view of Cinderella & Prince Charming dancing. Fair warning: those who sit in central room may even get asked to dance! Total spent on 4 adults and one child was $192- a pretty penny indeed. Given the cost, Id say unless your little princess is enchanted by all things Cinderella, you may want to skip this princess dining option. It is very entertaining though. \r

Our final meal to cap off the trip was breakfast at Cinderellas Royal Table in the Magic Kingdom. Stella had a makeover at the Bippidi Boppidi Boutique before our breakfast (Ill do a separate review on this experience which BTW was AMAZING!). This is a sit-down meal where youll choose from 6 different options. I opted for steak & eggs (fancy yum!). Princesses present were Ariel, Snow White, Jasmine and Aurora. Cost of breakfast for 4 adults and 1 child was a whopping $270- the most expensive meal we had at Disney.\r

Out of all 3 options, I think Akershus gives you the most bang for your buck. The Princess procession is beyond adorable, food is good and service excellent.
