As the concept for the attrion began at Walt Disney Imagineering, story development for thewas well underway. At that time, the films only designed charers were Flik and Hopper. So Imagineering—with the help of a senior entomologist at the Smithsonian Institute—hatched the remaining insect cast and fashioned a story about the survival techniques of bugs.\r
