This first pack adds new charers Link from Zelda, Tanooki Mario & Cat Peach, as well as 2 Cups (Yoshi Egg Cup & Triforce Cup) with 8 new courses including Warios Gold Mine (Wii), Rainbow Road (SNES), Ice Ice Outpost, Hyrule Circuit, Yoshi Circuit (GCN), Excitebike Arena, Dragon Driftway & Mute City from F-Zero. Theres also new vehicles the Master Cycle, Blue Falcon, Tanooki Kart / Buggy & the B-Dasher, plus the Triforce Tires & the Hylian Kite Glider! This is the first Mario Kart game in beautiful HD, & theyve also added some awesome features, including the new ATV, 9 new charers (2 of which have never been in any Mario game before), 4 new items (Boomerang Flower, Potted Piranha Plant, Super Horn, Crazy 8), & the brand new anti-gravity mechanic, which looks amazing as you follow the track upside-down. In total, there are 30 playable charers (Roster Spoilers: Mario, Luigi, Peach, Daisy, Yoshi, Toad, Koopa Troopa, Shy Guy, Baby Mario, Baby Luigi, Baby Peach, Baby Daisy, Bowser, Donkey Kong, Wario, Waluigi, Rosalina, Toadette, Metal Mario, Lakitu, the Koopalings Larry, Morton, Wendy, Iggy, Roy, Lemmy, & Ludwig, Pink Gold Peach, Baby Rosalina, and Mii),14 of which are unlocked randomly as you win cups in offline grand prix, 21 items, & 32 tracks: 16 new & 16 lovingly remade from past Mario Kart games. Youve got to make sure were collecting a ton of coins, not just because they make you drive faster, but theyre also used to unlock the 14 karts, 9 bikes, 3 ATVs, 18 tire types, and 11 gliders. Just like in Mario Kart 7, you can custom select your vehicle, tires, & glider. Make sure you press + to see your stats when you change parts out! Every driver can use every part, but their weight class will change stats & how big of a target you are. Outside of the Grand Prix cups, you can also play Time trials, plus local & online VS or Battle Modes. Bikes, gliders, and underwater driving also return.
