Alright so whats the big deal with cast iron? It seems like nowadays it one of those sought after items to have in your home, but a lot of people still think of cast iron skillet to have to much maintenance or that they dont work as well as a Teflon pan.\r

You will not have to spend the time to season it yourself (or try to season it yourself). It comes done right. This also means that it makes things easier to clean because foods are less likely to stick to the skillet.\r

Second – It offers even cooking from edge to edge. Unlink some skillets that get hot spots, this skillet offers even cooking and provides the same heat on the sides as it does in the center. This is important for a good cooking experience.\r

Third – Its made very well and is extremely versatile. This is a common component with most cast iron, but I wanted to point it out again. Cast Iron can and should be able to handle all types of cooking and temperatures.\r
