Present tense is one of three basic verb tense forms in English. It is used for any ion or event taking place in the present. In the present tense, Its important for the subject and the verb to match in number. That is, a singular subject needs a singular verb, and a plural subject needs a plural verb. There are important exceptions to this rule, though, and thats for I and you. I and you, even though theyre singular, take a plural verb. \r
